The United States Army Rangers are highly specialized soldiers who make up one of the most elite forces in the U.S. military. Army Rangers must pass a grueling selection process and are trained to handle unconventional warfare. (These are the U.S. Military special forces with the most brutal training.)

24/7 Wall St. reviewed the online database Military Factory’s catalog of Army Ranger Weapons to determine the guns used by U.S. Army Rangers. Guns that are overly similar to one another and guns that are believed to no longer be in use were removed from this list. We ranked the guns based on when they entered service. Supplemental data on the type of weapon, maximum effective range, and the caliber of ammunition each gun uses also came from Military Factory. (These are America’s most elite special forces.)

Why We’re Writing About U.S. Army Ranger Weapons

A U.S. Army student in his final week of U.S. Army Ranger School, travel a short distance on a dirt path before veering back into the forested swampland of Auxiliary Field Six at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. His platoon hiked nearly eight kilometers through the swamp to reach their objective.

The U.S. Army Rangers are one of the country’s most premier military forces. Because of this, the Army Rangers often use cutting-edge equipment that you might not see in other units. Learning about the Army Rangers’ arsenal provides an overview of modern military technology and tactics that allow the group to be so successful in missions.
